Ecom Access, Share Results' parent company, was founded in early 2002 by Nicky Senyard. Having recognized a need for simple yet powerful intuitive software to help website owners manage their affiliate programs, Nicky assembled a small team and set out to build the Share Results platform.

Shortly after its inception, Ecom Access and its four founding members moved the operation to Montreal, to take advantage of the convenient time zone and proximity to new business opportunities. Within two years, Ecom Access had managed to grow the team to approximately 50 members, including programmers, marketers, and affiliate managers; and had secured business relationships with several large and growing online retail sites.
